City of Wheaton issued the following announcement on Aug. 9.

On Aug. 6, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. the City of Wheaton closed the application process for the vacant West District City Council seat. Applications were received from the following 10 individuals:

• Nancy Harding
• Edward Ahern
• Jeffrey Antonelli
• Robert McNeily
• Lynn Robbins
• Mark Kmiecik
• Angela Blatner
• David Diersen
• Khizar Jafri
• Krista Selvey

The City Council will review the applications received over the next several days and make a recommendation for appointment to the vacant seat.
