There was one offender released on parole during 2018 that lives in Downers Grove zip code 60516, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that the released offender was Angel V. Arellano. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2018, when he was 64. He is now 65.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
