There was one offender released on parole during 2018 that lives in Wayne zip code 60184, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that the released offender was John Homatas. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2007, when he was 27. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
