Jan.-June 2018 Recap: Parolees in Addison convicted of property crimes

There were five offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Addison during the first half of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that five men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for property crimes was 24. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 30-year-old man sentenced in 2016.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Christopher Palacios. He was convicted of a property crime in 2016 when he was 21 years old. He is now 24.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders during the first half of 2018 who were convicted of property crimes.
