Q3 2018 Recap: Parolees in Aurora convicted of crimes against persons

There were 10 offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole in Aurora during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that nine men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 42. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Danny Trail. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 1998 when he was 26 years old. He is now 47.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q3 2018 who were convicted of crimes against persons.
