City of Wheaton issued the following announcement on June 19.
The Wheaton Mayor and City Council will be considering Christopher J. Zaruba to fill the North District Wheaton City Council seat at the City Council's July 1, 2019 meeting. If approved by the Mayor and City Council, Mr. Zaruba will be filling the North District seat recently vacated as a result of North District Councilman Philip J. Suess being elected Mayor in April 2019. The 2-year appointment will expire May 2021.
The Mayor and City Council were very impressed with the number and qualifications of residents who applied for this appointment.
