Steve Chirico defeated challenger Richard "Rocky" Caylor on Tuesday night to retain his post as Naperville mayor.
With all precincts reporting, Chirico had 51.96 percent of the votes (6,722) to Caylor's 48.04 percent (6,214), according to the Dupage County Election Commission.
Chirico, who has served as mayor of Naperville since 2015 and was formerly on the city council, is the founder and owner of Great Western Flooring Co.
A former Marine, Caylor is the president and CEO of Cadence Premier Logistics. Although he has lived in Naperville for 30 years, he had relatively little political experience.
