Westmont home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Westmont fell by $10,250 while total sales increased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 99 homes sold, with a median sale price of $240,000 - a 4.1% decrease over the $250,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 88 homes sold in Westmont in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Westmont for 2017 was $4,915.96. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,772.40. This marks an increase of 3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
