Glen Ellyn home prices fall in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Glen Ellyn fell by $54,000 while total sales decreased by 20.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 50 homes sold, with a median sale price of $365,000 - a 12.9% decrease over the $419,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 63 homes sold in Glen Ellyn in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Glen Ellyn for 2017 was $8,606.62. In 2016, the median sales tax was $8,629.20. This marks an decrease of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
