Glenbard Township High School District 87 issued the following announcement on March 7.
Families of African American Students United for Excellence and Equity (FUSE) and the Glenbard Parent Series will host a special family event and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Glenbard West.
Own Your Own Future will be presented by VaLerie Humphrey, a college retention specialist who prepares, inspires and motivates students to overcome feelings of negative self-worth to meet the demands of college and career.
Humphrey has a way of uplifting and empowering youth as she shares the struggles and the ultimate success of her own life.
