Report: Butler spent $18,301 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Butler School District 53 is down 0.9 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $18,467 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $18,301 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 461 to 527.

Butler's spending in 2017-18 was 37.2 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
