Report: West Chicago spent $12,547 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at West Chicago Elementary School District 33 is up 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $11,624 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,547 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4182 to 4458.

West Chicago's spending in 2017-18 was 5.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
