Report: Westmont spent $18,939 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Westmont Community Unit School District 201 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $16,611 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $18,939 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1339 to 1330.

Westmont's spending in 2017-18 was 42 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
