Report: Hinsdale spent $17,821 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hinsdale Community Consolidated School District 181 is up 17.7 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $15,135 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $17,821 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4008 to 3784.

Hinsdale's spending in 2017-18 was 33.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
