Burr Ridge Community Consolidated School District 180 issued the following announcement on Jan.16.
Burr Ridge Middle School Principal Julie Bartell is being honored as the Junior Achievement Chicago-DuPage Board of Directors Educator of the Year for 2019. The school has had a long and positive relationship with Junior Achievement which helps to inspire and prepare young people to succeed by providing programs which foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
Danielle Costello the Operations Manager of the DuPage County Junior Achievement described Principal Bartell as, “an amazing supporter of Junior Achievement, bringing Career Days and Junior Achievement to her students. We love working in partnership with Julie year after year and appreciate her commitment to inspiring her students to start thinking about their future.” Mrs. Bartell will be recognized at Junior Achievement’s 12th Annual Fundraiser event on February 28, 2019 at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Mrs. Bartell has been principal at Burr Ridge Middle School for ten years and was recently named the Middle School Principal of the Year by the DuPage Region of the Illinois Principal Association.
The district is proud of the excellent partnership formed with Junior Achievement and thankful for Mrs. Bartell’s dedication and service to her students.
