City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.
The City of Effingham will pick up Christmas trees (weather permitting) starting Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 8:00 A.M. Please have your tree out by the curb by 8:00 A.M. They will continue to pick up trees all week. Please no ornaments or plastic on the trees.
