The new budget proposed by Village of Woodbridge calls for $47,286,194 in expenditures in fiscal year 2019, which is 9.4 percent less than what this year’s budget provides.
Officials have until Dec. 31 to approve a budget.
The village proposes spending $3,728,848 on municipal worker pensions, which is 7.8 percent of the total budget. The pension amount reflects taxpayer contributions to current police officers and other municipal employees.
A total of $8,322,503, or 17.6 percent of total village expenditures, would go to police protection. Contributions to the Illinois Municipal Retirement fund total $569,000, or 1.2 percent.
The budget proposal mentioned no tax or fee changes.
