Ball

Naperville Park District issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.

The annual Turkey Shoot golf tournament brought 112 golfers out to play at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses Nov. 17 and 18. Dressed for the weather, the participants finished nine holes while two inches of snow fell on the courses.

Dan Callahan, Rich Hagmeyer, Dave Borg, John Gross and Oliver Baumann comprised the winning team at Springbrook, scoring 30 (6 under par) for nine holes. The Naperbrook winning team of Phil Whittles, Chris DuPuis, Casey Sanborn and Scott Sanborn scored 31 (3 under par).

Jewel-Osco at 1759 W. Ogden Ave. donated the prize turkeys for the tournament and nearly half of the participants opted to contribute the cash value of their turkey to the Park District’s Fee Assistance Program, which makes recreation programs available for individuals and families in need. A total of $470 was donated to the Fee Assistance Program through the 2018 Turkey Shoot.

The Turkey Shoot also was supported by Brooks Tournament Sponsor Pinnacle Dermatology and event sponsor Jason Herbers Allstate Insurance.
