With a week left before voters go to the polls, Glen Ellyn State House candidate Terra Costa Howard received another $892,417 from Illinois House Speaker and Democrat Party Chief Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) between Oct. 18 and Oct. 26, state filings show.

The Madigan funding was disclosed in reports filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE) by Friends to Elect Terra Costa Howard, the campaign committee that supports Costa Howard's race against state Rep. Peter Breen (R-Lombard) in the 48th House District.

The district covers all or part of Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Downers Grove and Lisle.

Madigan, the Illinois Democratic Party and the Democratic County Chairman’s Association of Illinois. In all, Madigan has contributed $1.55 million to the candidate’s campaign this election cycle.

Madigan spent $6.5 million on 24 candidates between Oct 18 and Oct 30, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections. He has spent $15.84 million backing campaigns for 25 candidates this election cycle, thus far.
