Khouri earns West Chicago Mayor Ruben Pineda's endorsement
West Chicago Mayor Ruben Pineda recently endorsed Republican House candidate Tonia Khouri for Illinois' 49th State House District seat.
“Tonia Khouri is exactly who we need in Springfield,” Pineda said in a statement. “Along with her integrity, she has the business background as well as local government background we need to help the people in the 49th District.
Khouri is the proprietor of Green T Services, a home-services company that employs more than 150 local workers, and she also serves as chair of Economic Development for the DuPage County Board, her website states.
“She gets it,” Pineda said. “She knows how a business works, how to balance a budget, and knows what municipalities need. Tonia has a proven track record of keeping municipal interests in the forefront, and she is committed to having the same focus in Springfield."
Khouri is running against Democrat Karina Villa in November's election.
The 49th District includes Aurora, Batavia, Elgin, Geneva, Naperville, St. Charles, Warrenville and West Chicago.
