CITY OF WEST CHICAGO: City Actively Seeking Volunteers to Fill Commission Vacancies

City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.

The City of West Chicago is an active community with a vibrant volunteer spirit. The volunteers who serve on City Commissions exemplify outstanding community involvement.

The City is currently seeking interested persons to fill vacancies on the following City Commissions.

Cultural Arts Commission – 1 vacancy

Cultural Arts Commission – 1 ex-officio vacancy**

Environmental Commission – 1 vacancy

Plan Commission / Zoning Board of Appeals – 1 ex-officio vacancy**

**ex-officio member is a non-voting member.

Appointments are typically reserved for residents and are made by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, and based on experience and interest. If you are interested in serving on a Commission, please download and review the Boards and Commission Application form, which should be returned to the office of the Mayor.

Commission meetings are held at City Hall, 475 Main street (unless otherwise noted) and are open to the public.
