Indian Prairie Community Unit School District 204 issued the following announcement on July 30.

Laura Nylen was named interim director of digital learning for the Expanding Learning Opportunities Consortium (eLo).

She also collaborated with administrators to develop a strategic plan for blended learning, including professional development needs.

As a passionate educator, she mentored and built capacity among teachers who integrated technology into the classroom learning environment.

Nylen began her career as an elementary school teacher and also served as a library director.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Millikin University and holds a master's degree in Instructional Technology from National Louis University.
