CITY OF WARRENVILLE: Water and Sewer Rates Increase Effective May 1, 2018

Price increases

City of Warrenville issued the following announcement on June 14.

Due to increased operational and capital costs, water and sewer rates increased effective May 1, 2018. The increase will be reflected on utility bills beginning in July. The new rates are as follows:

Water – Commodity (usage) charge is increasing from $1.50 per 1000 gallons of water to $1.54 per 1000 gallons of water, and the Water Base Charge is increasing from $9.75 Bi-monthly to $10.04 Bi-monthly.

Sewer – Commodity (usage) charge is increasing from $2.98 per 1000 gallons of water to $3.12 per 1000 gallons of water and the Sewer Base Charge is increasing from $22.93 Bi-monthly $24.07 Bi-monthly. The bi-monthly charge for Sewer Only customers will increase from $65.63 to $68.91.

Rates will vary based upon meter size.

It is estimated that the average four person household will see their water and sewer service bills increase by approximately $34.50 over the course of a year.

Actual increases for any given household will vary.
