Graduates earn 5,213 degrees, certificates from College of DuPage

About 25.8 percent of the 5,213 degrees and certificates handed out by the College of DuPage in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Ellyn conferred 1344 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 933 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 411 associate's degrees in General Studies and 339 associate's degrees in Biological and Physical Sciences.

The college enrolled 26,901 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
