Report: Glen Ellyn spent $13,954 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Glen Ellyn School District 41 is up 16 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $11,979 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,954 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3667 to 3572.

Glen Ellyn's spending in 2016-17 was 8 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
