Report: Bensenville spent $14,493 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Bensenville School District 2 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $13,617 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $14,493 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2157 to 2163.

Bensenville's spending in 2016-17 was 12 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
