Report: Downers Grove Grade spent $12,702 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Downers Grove Grade School District 58 is up 7 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $11,893 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,702 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 5114 to 5207.

Downers Grove Grade's spending in 2016-17 was 2 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
