Report: Medinah spent $14,865 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Medinah School District # 11 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $13,031 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $14,865 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 683 to 662.

Medinah's spending in 2016-17 was 15 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
