Report: Hinsdale spent $19,113 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Hinsdale Township High School District 86 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $16,772 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $19,113 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4536 to 4318.

Hinsdale's spending in 2016-17 was 47 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
