George P. Bush is slated to make a special guest appearance at the DuPage GOP Lincoln Day Dinner, where he will be the keynote speaker.
The dinner will be on June 6 at the Marriott hotel in Oak Brook.
A member of the famed political family, Bush serves as the Texas land commissioner and is seen as a rising star in the Republican Party, according to a DuPage GOP announcement.
Bush was elected to the position of land commissioner in 2014 and since then has largely focused on a platform of protecting coastlines, historical sites and private property rights, the announcement said.
Prior to joining the world of politics, Bush served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and practiced real estate law.
