Analysis: Lombard pays $2.21 for every $1 pensioners contribute to York Center Fire Protection District

Taxpayers contributed 68.9 percent of the $89,840 the York Center Fire Protection District brought in last year, or $2.21 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lombard contributed $61,861 to the fund, which saw a $2,713 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $27,978, or 31.1 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
