Analysis: Westmont pays $4.81 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Westmont Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.7 percent of the $2,433,981 the Westmont Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.81 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Westmont contributed $2,012,246 to the fund, which saw a $170,242 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $417,895, or 17.2 percent, in 2016. Another $3,840 came from other unspecified sources.
