Elmhust chamber to honor Brewpoint Coffee as its business of the year

The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) has named Brewpoint Coffee its A.J. “Toche” Terrones Business of the Year Award for 2017 for its contributions to the chamber and the community, a recent chamber release said.

Brewpoint Coffee, run by wife and husband team Melissa Villanueva and Angelo Sepulveda, is being honored now has three locations, with the original location having opened in 2014. 

“Brewpoint Coffee instituted a strategy for success at a location kitty-corner to the Metra train station where others before them have failed, and (it) developed the tools to allow for well-organized business expansion,” Chamber President and CEO John R. Quigley said in the release.

Villanueva and Sepulveda will accept the award at the chamber’s 99th annual Awards Gala on Jan. 26. Quigley will be joined in presenting the award by Outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors Joe Muchow and Roberto’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, the Business of the Year winner for last year.

The award is given out annually and honors Terrones, a former chamber president who served for nearly a decade before his death in 1999.
