The calls in Villa Park included 60 fires - 41 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 12 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $516,650 in fire loss - or about $8,611 per fire.
The department also received 149 false calls, including seven malicious calls and 142 other false calls.
The calls resulted in four civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, six fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Villa Park Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 24 active employees and 25 retired or inactive employees, was $1,056,841 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $17,614 for every fire in 2016.
