The calls in Lombard included 114 fires - 43 structure fires, 18 vehicle fires and 44 other fires. The fire department also responded to nine calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $509,180 in fire loss - or about $4,466 per fire.
The department also received 716 false calls, including 27 malicious calls and 689 other false calls.
One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
The Lombard Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 63 active employees and 46 retired or inactive employees, was $2,531,850 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $22,209 for every fire in 2016.
