Naperville-area families are being encouraged to learn about keeping children safe at a free event on Saturday hosted by Rep. Grant Wehrli (R-Naperville) and Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Napervlle), according to a flier.
The event at the Frontier Sports Complex will feature more than 20 booths where participants can learn about services and programs catering to child safety. Children can also get ID cards and take part in a variety of activities, including getting their faces painted and their hands on a number of different vehicles, like fire engines, snow plows and medical helicopters.
Attendees can also learn about summer reading and college savings programs, as well as I-Cash, nutrition and bicycle safety.
