City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met April 13.

Here is the minutes as provided by the Commission:

Members present: Chairman Ramona Wood

Vice Chair Bill Powell - excused

Commissioner Leticia Morales-Perez

Commissioner Tim Oelker

Commissioner Carmen Armstrong

Guest: Bob Dunn, Aurora Fire Department background Investigator.

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

Commissioner Oelker motioned for the Commission to go into executive session at 4:05 pm. to

review Fire candidate backgrounds. Commissioner Morales-Perez seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Armstrong motioned for the Commission to come out of executive session at

4:40 pm. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to pass 2016 Fire Private Eligibility list candidates Mark Elliot,

Taylor Reeves, John Malone, Jason Sudaz, Jeffrey Prokopec, Kevin McElmeel, Daniel Walsh,

Paul Groom, Tyler Assell, Michale Wicklund, David Mahl, Evan Locklear, Bryan Phelps, Tony

Browning, Jacob Mackey, David Benge, Caleb Byerhof, Anthony Lemke, Albert Collins, Nick

Cadena, Brett McKillip, Tyler Riemenschneider, Stephen Coomes, Mark Mammoser to the next

step in the selection process due to the results of the background investigation. Commissioner

Morales-Perez seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to not recommend James Aagesen, Zachary Gloodt, Adam

Thurman for this round of hiring and they remain on the 2016 Fire Private Eligibility due to the

results of the background investigation. Commissioner Armstrong seconded. Motion passed –

Commissioner Morales-Perez abstained.

Commissioner Oelker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Armstrong to adjourn the meeting

at 4:44 p.m. Motion passed.
