Residents of the village of Westmont are invited to offer their input for the benefit of local programming and services by participating in the jurisdiction’s citizen community survey, available online via the Westmont government website.

Community members are encouraged to go online and click on the link to the survey. Designed with multiple-choice answers, the questionnaire is easy to fill out.

“This effort is tied to some of the directives outlined in our Strategic Plan,” Larry McIntyre, who serves as communications director for Westmont, said. “We regularly seek civic engagement so that we can better gauge public opinion regarding all we do. Our goal is to constantly improve wherever we can and strive for best practices.”

The survey asks about length of residency, status in or relationship to the community, and general age range.

Villagers are requested to fill out the form by checking which Westmont activities they have participated in or are aware of -- ranging from summer camps, classes and open houses to special recycling and environmental programs -- as well as the village’s special holiday celebrations and festivals.

Sections are included for voicing one’s degree of satisfaction on various business developments and village divisions, offering a numerical scale for a range of responses. There is space to enter comments or suggestions.

Feedback will enable the village government to adapt to the public’s needs, plan support services and better organize future events.
