1. Call To Order - Chair Kim Lombardozzi called the meeting to order after 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call - Roll call was taken by observation: Chair Kim Lombardozzi, Mary Gabryel,
Glenn Gabryel, Bob Van Hyfte, Pam Ristau, Tyler Tiesche, Barbara Alvarez, Mayor Ron
Gunter, Trustee Harold Barry III, Manager Steve May, Communications Director Larry
McIntyre
3. Pledge of Allegiance - Chair Lombardozzi led in the pledge of allegiance
4. 2015 EIC Initiatives Recap - Larry McIntyre passed out an annual review sheet that
listed many of the major accomplishments of the EIC during that past year.
5. 2016 EIC Goals & Expectations - Mayor Gunter and Manager May thanked the group
for their hard work. Various people shared several ideas including: 1) would it be
possible to improve recycling at the Taste of Westmont, 2) would it be possible to get
business cards, banners, a tent, and a table skirt to have at events for marketing, etc., 3)
would it be possible to get shirts for the EIC, and 4) can we make sure EIC events get
good marketing, etc.
6. Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned around 7:00 p.m.

Over a dozen community groups participated in the pumpkin smashing contest which brought great publicity to
the composting event
Hosted in conjunction with Scarce

Hosted in conjunction with paper shredding event at Police Dept.

Implemented by Village of Westmont and located at the Westmont Police Dept.
Change in 2015: started one month earlier resulting in 1 container filled before Christmas
Two events coordinated by the Police Dept. as a fundraiser for Special Olympics
