The West Chicago Civil Service Commission met recently to review a sergeant promotion.
Other items discussed included preparation of initial eligibility register for police sergeant and notice for claiming Veteran's Preference Points.
The commission also held a closed executive session.
The commission ensures the city impartially recruits and selects qualified candidates for employment and hears employee discipline cases. It meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m., at City Hall, 475 Main St.
