The St. Charles, Illinois Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met last week to discuss police department application processes and approval of a testing vendor.

The commission also considered candidates for firefighters, and reviewed the new police department recruitment procedure.

The board conducts promotional exams, hires sworn police officers and firefighters and holds disciplinary hearings. The board meets on the second Monday of each month.
