As the village of Westmont continues to prepare for its celebration, the 100th Anniversary Committee held its regular meeting Thursday at Village Hall.
The committee, led by Chairman Mayor Ron Gunter, is made up of volunteers who are working to coordinate a series of activities to celebrate the village’s 95th anniversary later this year, with long-term plans for a major centennial event in 2021.
The agenda for the meeting included a collection of historical pictures and accounts and the development of ideas for a special display case and mural at Village Hall. The committee also has plans for a commemorative video and booklet to be produced for the 2021 project.
