Westmont to move some committee meetings to library

Westmont

The Village of Westmont said recently that it has entered into an agreement with Westmont Library to hold some of Westmont’s committee and commission meetings at the library, located at 428 N. Cass St.

“We think this is a great opportunity for residents to participate,” Westmont First Committee Chairman Bruce Barker -- and also a village trustee -- said. “The library is a great setting for public meetings so that citizens can easily get involved. Both Westmont First and the EIC (Environmental Improvement Commission) are working hard to make a difference in Westmont.”

Generally, EIC meetings will be held the first Monday of each month, with Westmont First meetings convening the third Monday of each month. Unless otherwise scheduled, meetings for both groups will begin at 6 p.m. Updated information and agendas will be posted on the village website at www.westmont.illinois.gov.

“We want to thank the Westmont Library for their generous support and hospitality,” Barker added. “We invite the entire community to come out and join us.”
