Westmont Village Board to consider waiver request on liquor ordinances tonight

Westmont

The Westmont Village Board will review a request by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau Open House Board to waive certain alcohol related-fees and restrictions related to the agency’s 2016 Open House events during the board's meeting at 6 p.m. today, 31 W. Quincy St.

The bureau’s Open House Board has asked village leaders to waive the special-event liquor license fee and permit the serving of alcohol on village property at Westmont Centre. The board will discuss the request and possibly make a decision.

The board also will

review a comprehensive list of expenditures from December, as well as several bid proposals for pending construction, pond-modification and water-conservation projects.

The agenda also includes a discussion of several proposed planning and zoning ordinances concerning video arcades and tent permits, among others.
