Elmhurst City Council to tackle rates, services at tonight's meeting

The Elmhurst City Council will hear a presentation by Metro Paramedics and take up several agenda items at its first meeting of 2016 at 7:30 p.m. today in City's Hall Council Chambers, 209 N. York St.

The council also is expected to approve accounts payable totaling nearly $2 million and appoint a new deputy city clerk.

The council will examine proposed ordinances on traffic and utility services, as well as resolutions concerning sewage-treatment rates, telecommunications service rates, and third-party engineering and janitorial services for the city.
