Featuring presentations from a local Eagle Scout and the introduction of a minor-league hockey franchise in the area, the St. Charles City Council will hold its first regular meeting of 2016 at 7 p.m. today in Council Chambers, 2 E. Main Street.
The agenda's list of presentations includes a recognition of achievement for Troop 1 Eagle Scout Frank Wiedmann and the official introduction of the Chicago Steele, a Tier-1 Junior A hockey franchise in the U.S. Hockey League, made by team President Dan Lehv.
Under the direction of Mayor Raymond Rogina, other items on the agenda include approval of minutes and a discussion of expenditures for December 2015. Rogina also is expected to recommend the appointment of Mark Marion to the St. Charles Building Board of Review.
Following committee reports, the council also plans to review $6,714,615.54 in budget transfers for debt-service payments and miscellaneous items, as well as discuss an ordinance that would amend the Administration and Personnel clause of the St. Charles Municipal Code.
