The Lisle Board of Trustees approved a $16,500 grant application for the Lisle Wine Extravaganza and Art Festival at a recent meeting.

The $16,500 will help pay for music, tent and portable-toilet rentals, printing, bread, cheeses and a cake.

The grant proposal originally was introduced by Lisle Chamber of Commerce Director Jill Eidukas at a recent Special Events Committee meeting.

After some discussion among board members, the motion passed 4-2. Trustees in favor were Anthony Carballo, Robert Mandel, Mark Boyle and Rob Getz, and trustees not in favor were Cathy Cawiezel and Brad Hettich.
