The Village of Lombard's Public Safety and Transportation Committee held a public meeting Monday night at Village Hall.

Following roll call and approval of minutes, the committee discussed a resident's request  for a speed-limit reduction to 25 mph on Glenview Street, as well as the installation of a stop sign at the intersection of Glenview and Eugenia Streets. The committee also discussed a prior recommendation to install stop signs at the intersection of Harrison and Norbury Streets.

The committee also discussed the Police Department’s recommendation to relaunch a vehicle-immobilization program to target drivers with unpaid parking tickets. The committee also reviewed a department report on child-safety-seat program needs.
