The city of Warrenville will host a public meeting concerning Southwest district planning Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 28W701 Stafford Place.
The purpose of the meeting is to establish an understanding of the current and potential future conditions in the area of Warrenville encompassing approximately 300 acres of land around the intersection of Routes 59 and 56 and along their adjacent sections and Ferry Road.
The city planning consultant team, led by Teska Associates, will present the initial assessment report, which will include a profile of the planning area, a summary of current market conditions, and preliminary Tax Increment Financing (TIF) eligibility study findings.
The recently initiated planning process will help the city ensure that it develops a plan that incorporates public input; reflects market realities; acknowledges the Route 56 expansion improvements, as well as recent and ongoing development along the Route 59 corridor; and establishes clear policy on what development the city should pursue.
