Elk Grove Mayor Craig Johnson recently accepted the 2015 Small Business Advocate Award from the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The award was given to Elk Grove in recognition of the village's dedication to its beyond business-friendly philosophy.
“It is an honor for myself and the village to receive this kind of recognition.” Johnson said. “We are always working to support and promote our business community.”
The award specifically recognizes mayors and communities that have demonstrated their commitment to and support of the small-business community.
